Amadeus International School Vienna

Overlooking the city of Vienna to one side, and the green vineyards and forests that frame it on the other, AMADEUS International School Vienna can be found on the beautiful and historic Semmelweis grounds in the distinguished 18th district. We welcome students and parents who seek educational distinction into the AMADEUS family.

We are a school community with a singular driving force and mission; and we are a community of learners and teachers inspired to distinction. Obsessed with discovering that unique and inimitable excellence which exists in us all.

How do we do that? We walk this path together; we accompany; we do not take the easy road; we reject ’good enough’, ’not bad’, and ’pretty good’; we colour our journey with music, dance, and the arts.

For us, the pillars of educational distinction include Intellect, Virtue, Inclusivity, Vitality, Aesthetic, Music, and Languages. These components represent our core commitments to academic excellence, character development, global citizenship, and human flourishing. Simultaneously, we foster an appreciation of beauty and excellence, draw upon music as a catalyst for profound personal growth, and prioritise mastery in communication – in all its multiple forms and expressions.

These are the elements of an education that prepare our young people for today, and those they will build upon as they forge their successful futures. The combination of an International Baccalaureate education, with emphasis on supporting young people as they tackle the major developmental tasks of childhood and adolescense, and highlights provided by our integrated Music and Arts Academy and Boarding programmes, distinguish our students in mind, body, and spirit.

We celebrate diversity, and we emphasize inclusivity. With a multinational staff and student body, the AMADEUS community is enriched with different cultures, yet united around the same values; happiness, kindness, and imagination.

Whether you know little or a lot about our thriving international community, I am sure you will find what you are looking for on our website. This is a great place to become better acquainted with our school, or to catch up on news and happenings. Please feel free to reach out, or drop by for coffee and a conversation about how we might help realise your educational dreams and ambitions.
